Jermaine Dupri says Xscape was one of hardest artists for him to develop because people believed they were ugly.
Jermaine Dupri recently spoke on the R&B Money podcast and discussed the challenges he went through trying to make Xscape superstars despite people believing they weren’t attractive enough to sell.
The producer recalled Notorious BIG making things even harder for Xscape after he dissed the group in his song, Dreams, stating he would sleep with Rupaul before he’d sleep with any of them.
Despite what everyone believed, Xscape went on to sell nearly 10 million albums and seven top R&B singles.
